I want to record the same flight path during different hours of the day, but see no way to do so using the basic DJI Fly app itself. Reading online, I got the impression that DJI Go and DJI Pilot apps exist for this purpose. Unfortuantely, neither seems to pair with my Mavic Air 2, and I would rather not pay for 3rd party apps like Litchi yet before I get more experienced with my drone and/or can confirm that it works with my drone. I also heard about Waypoints app but don't see it listed in the app store (DJI Pilot comes up first when searching for it, is it the same app rebranded?). Am I doing something wrong or do these apps not yet work with MA2? What are my options for re-using flight paths between different drone launches?

I saw the hyperlapse waypoints, but as you say, the main issue is that it's usable with hyperlapse only. Also, unless I'm wrong, those waypoints exist only for the duration of specific hyperlapse mission. If I were to land the drone and change battery, they would go away? In fact, they would go away even if I switch recording mode without landing the drone?

No, luckily this is not the case !!!


Since the last software update (of the MA2) you can save all waypoints and then retrieve them later (... days later) ...
You can save as many sets of such waypoints as you want!

correct - you can have up to 45 waypoints in one hyperlapse and save it to repeat the same hyperlapse.
