You need to think about using a different projection method to keep the straight lines straight instead of extremely bowed like the first example.

There is an option in Autopano Giga 'keep horizon straight' when you make a fisheye perspective (little planet) that works great for that.

Hi JJB *,
I apologize!
Maybe it was some kind of "German humor" from me ...

What I wanted to say:
Such a beautiful autumn picture!
But, when autumn takes a break - the sun is allowed to shine properly again - then you can no longer take such a picture ...
It was a bit "cocky" of me ...

I see now what you mean, thanks.

That's still terribly distorted.
See how horizontal lines in the foreground are bowed?
USing a different projection might fix that.
How many images were stitched?

21 pics   a wide pano   i can use an other projection, but than a will loose part on both sides
So i am happy with this....  ;-)

But like to know how this pano would look like if you can straighten the lines, link to the 21 pics > https://mega.nz/file/hGgE2S6J#bs ... Tv3RfmQ0X27LkY1XagU

When the pano covers such a big arc (how big was it?  more or less than 180° ?), you are going to have this problem.
What you are looking at is a large part of a sphere.
The circumference or a sphere is much larger at the equator than it is near the bottom.
But in stitching a long span panorama you end up with that small bottom circumference being stretched to the same length as the equator.
You can get away with it for smaller arc lengths - 3 or maybe 4 images across (with clever use of the right projection).
You can get away with it in the sky and if you have water in the foreground.
But if you go 7 images wide and have prominent stratght lines in the foreground, the stretching can't be hidden.

Thanks for your explanation, it was a 200 degree horizontal pano.
Good tip of water in the foreground, water enough in my country.

Gary, that's brutal!  Time to get out the parka.
We had some mid 60s overnights last week, but it only got down to 72.5 last night - headed to 105 today.  Summer getting in it's last blast....
