thanks Blériot53,  it was just a bit of luck.   flew that spot a couple of times whilst I was there.  And a great landscape photographer once said you need to visit a location 10 times to get the shot.

Theres probably some truth in it.  You an never guarantee the weather or tide,  I went to a new spot yesterday (which you'll be seeing a lot more of) and got there a couple of hours before high tide only to find the tide was already in 30 metres more than I expected.
