Should I keep the foam block that cushions the gimbal?  DJI thought it best to ship the P3 with this foam block.  Should I continue doing so?

Problem is, unlike the rigid plastic piece, this foam block will wear out in a month or two.

Thanks
S

I kept mine as it's helpful for transporting. Definitely keep the gimbal clamp but the foam is helpful as well. Mine has worn a bit but helps keep the gimbal in place and doesn't wobble as much even if I do keep it in a nice protective case.

I just use the provided gimbal lock firmly wedged in place. Sufficient support.

It wont harm keeping it for long transportation.  It takes a second to put it on and to take it off. ...

Ditto...What SULTAN said.

It's a great idea to use the foam block if your Phantom will be sitting on its side. That should prevent the shock absorbers from getting compressed into that odd position.

Unfortunately, I didn't notice where the foam piece goes before I took it off.... I know how to put the plastic gimble lock on.  Could someone snap a pic of where the foam piece goes so I can properly do this?

Many thanks in advance.

Thanks for this.  I'll look for your post.

I think my original question was not clear.  The foam piece looks like it will wear out.  It is a good idea to use it but what should be done after it wears out and it can not be used?
