Nothing beats a good 'top down' shot (for me at least).
Especially when it is taken from where I used to grow up.

I am told that I was born in the red-brick house you see in the picture below. At the time, it was a maternity hospital. But it is many kilometres from where I grew up.

I don't think the hospital I was born is still there.
They (for sure) moved it to a new location. But I'm not sure what they did with it.

We went back to a campsite where we used to go in my youth.
It turned out to be one of our favorite places too!

It is a former railway area.
There used to be a station next to our house (except for that our house was built when the railway was just removed)

It has multiple levels in my enthusiasm.
For a starter, I really like how a railway can give you lines in your photo / video.
Next I have a thing for diesel engines shunting between buildings and other objects.
How it moves is very interesting for me to document.
So yeah, I like them.

here it is very complex to make flights within cities or towns, so it is almost impossible to document on railway lines. in my childhood in Argentina I would have had that possibility, but I did not have the means to do it.

But I usually look for locations that are on the edge of a town / city and I can document with the drone while not breaking rules.

PS, with the new EU drone laws there is a chance we are allowed to fly over buildings and stuff so that could be nice!

Hopefully they launch soon. Here in Spain there are many limitations, the CTR zones are very extensive, with total prohibition.
