After working flawlessly for a few months, I had an issue: Error message: Controller not connected to Aircraft
I tried all combinations of the order of operations of turning on drone, controller, and app. No luck
I tried wiggling, removing, reinserting the micro-to-lightning cable. No luck
I tried putting the drone into pair mode to re-pair with the controller. No luck
I rebooted my iPhone. No luck
Drone firmware was utd
Battery firmware was utd
Connection from phone to controller was good
I googled, and in a forum I read that I could try reformatting my micro-SD card. Whaaa?
I did a fast format. No luck
I did a full format. It worked! I'm still kinda skeptical, as I don't understand the "why" of it. However, after numerous power-ons it is has worked flawlessly.
Background
I had recently removed the SD card and copied contents to my PC hard drive. When done, I used the "remove hardware" function on the Windows 10 PC. After inserting Micro SD card back into the drone, drone powered up with no issue. Next time I went to use it is when the problem developed. Not sure if that is a causation, or correlation. Or Majic.
