I tried 4km with my MP once.
Far enough for me.
And to make matters even more scary : it was over water

Furthest I went over water was 6km over the ocean, got scared so came back. Over land I did 8350 meters out.

That is impressive.
I was flying tailwind first, so I was afraid about the effects of the headwind on the return trip and did not dare to push any further.
Also the connection became unstable, probably because of some islands that were there.
It did make for a nice timelapse though.

Nice to keep the blood flowing faster. Hands shiver while holding RC when I pass 6km
