It is located on the coast of Deokmyeong-ri, Hai-myeon, Goseong-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do,Korea. It was designated as a county park on November 10, 1983, and covers 5,106 square kilometers.
Geographically, it corresponds to the sea coast erosion(海蝕崖). As the coastal land cut off by the waves entered the land, sea ice formed, and the rock bed in front of it was a wavebed. Dinosaur footprints are clearly marked on the wave bed in front of Sangjokam Rock. sea coast erosion Rock Wall is a layer of Aqueous Rock(水成岩), which is shaped like a rice cake, so it is called Sangjok, or Ssangjok, because it looks like a rice table legs are similar to each other. The cave is pierced deep in the rock, and the inside of the cave is constantly changing due to the labyrinth created by the waves.
The Sangjokam Beach has 250 small pools of water 24 centimeters wide and 32 centimeters long. The puddle, discovered in 1982, was designated as Natural Monument No. 411, a dinosaur footprint. The area, which was a lake swamp 150 million years ago, appears to have been exposed to dinosaur footprints as dinosaurs lived in groups and then solidified into rocks as sedimentary layers piled up on top of it then rose and the sediment washed away by the waves. Sangjokam Beach belongs to Hallyeohaesang National Park and has Namildae Beach nearby. Ships come and go between Busan, Yeosu and Sacheon.
