IF it comes. The reports are hinting no, and that it will be bigger.

About the Batteries

It seems with the battery announcement it is indeed another mini. My guess is it will have 4k too and obviously slightly better flight time with larger battery. If it has the ability to shoot RAW photos this will win me over... The ambarella processor in the current mini is more than enough to handle 4k footage too but overheating was the reason it wasn't added.

Still too early, at this stage Dji needs to release a drone that can pull its customers back from the Autel Pro 2 which is doing amazing

With the FCC leak its a given isn't it?

Unlike say Apple, DJI does not have a timeline on when they release products - there are so many rumours of a new wave of drones. MM2, M3, P5, In3 etc that most of it is click bait given that you tubers are running out of material due to the limited releases on the market. From 2016-17 DJI released 10 different drones (not including the Matrice and AGRAS models). From 2019-20 they have released 2. We are due a new drone or two for sure but which one is anyones guess. Based on the dates of previous models I'd say an M3 is more likely to be announced than a MM2. But who knows (other than DJI).

Yep. I think its gonna be a mavic3 then MM2, then P5. Just too early in my opinion.

I've long since stopped following rumours - fun to speculate but take it all with a pinch of salt. What will be will be as and when DJI decide.

But they can't really release anything bigger than 250g without EU classification so this seems likely and it will be here in time for Christmas.

Exactly,  if they release something bigger it will be heavily restricted when the EU rules comes into play as it won't be classified and there's no process yet to get classified.

I think it’s definitely on its way, but not sure if it will come this side of Christmas. I think to make it worth changing it needs Raw photo 4k video obstacle avoidance front and back and a few bells and whistles.

I think dji depends on users updating their craft, so in order to encourage this they need to offer substantial improvements. I think hardware is needed for OA but just better processor for camera improvements and I don’t think processor will add any weight. I think great things are always possible with this tech .
