Since the Phantom 3 was introduced the literature states it now is able to use Russian Satelites in addition to the US Satellites. I wonder if a new firmware upgrade and maybe a new GPS Puck would allow users of earlier Naza controllers to benefit from these additional services. Any comments from DJI would be appreciated.

I think they did that for the a2 controller because they had a gps puck trade in thing going on not long ago on the a2 gps puck, so let's see about naza...  Lol. Dji says you can't mix parts from naza, A2 and wookong but people have done it just by plugging the stuff in, so maybe the A2's gps will work on naza

No, you need to change the hardware too.

US GPS and the Russian Glonass satelites use different receiver frequencies.

I know, did you even read my post? The gps puck is the hardware and dji had a trade in program going on for people that own a2 flight controllers. You gave them the old puck and $40 and they gave you the new puck..  The only reason I can see them doing that was because they changed something about the hardware and I'm guessing it was glonaas support
