Thought I would share my custom case that I had made for my Inspire 1.
Knowning that the original case the Inspire comes in would be rather inadaquate and unsecure to travel with through Europe I thought I better have one made.

The cutouts are designed to have the Inspire in travel mode. Everything fits in the top section of the foam apart from the blades which sit under the body of the Inspire.

The shell is a Pelican Storm iM2875 with a custom designed foam cutout. The foam was cut using a waterjet cutter.

looks good, but for me, I don't prefer ready to go in flight mode case. I rather have a thinner travel mode case....

I like this, but I also would prefer to have the aircraft in travel mode, otherwise this is fantastic.  
Can you get the foam cut separately and with option for travel mode.  Would the battery storage bays be able to be sunk down further so there is less of the battery  protruding.

Just a few comments, I like the Peli case, definitely the way to go.

Still think it would be of interest to many in its present form, and more if the foam was available as a separate item to purchase for the Peli case.

Overall it looks like you maximized the space for a single controller. I would love something like this for dual controller setup.

Are you selling these Peli cases with the custom foam or offering supply of the custom foam as a separate item.

Love to see a travel mode option, any ideas on prices of foam if selling separate.

as you are in Oz, have you seen the drone armour case. I have one and it is great! Got mine from Mongrel gear, I see that they are on special now. Good for you, bad for me!

Yeah I'm sure there would be a way to have the battery sit further into the foam, I don't mind it how it is currently.

I'm not offering the cases or cutouts, no. Although I could probably provide the Solid Works drawing used to cut out the foam.

So, just to be clear (as the pic is not), there are cut-out shapes below the bird where you'd store your 2 controls, 2 iPads, batteries, etc.?  

Otherwise, love the idea...

I followed the link, and when the page opened, my wallet jumped out of my pocket, ran across the room, and hid in the corner.  

Then I did the dollar conversion to US currency, and my wallet still wouldn't come out of the corner

What I was trying to say was , the Euro and Aussie prices are way overpriced.  The case itself in the UK is only £220.

I did provide a web site for teh case but the Shield didnt like it.

there are recessed cutouts for the 2 controllers. Batteries are stored separately in a ruggedised case. I have 6 batteries in it but I think you may squeaze 7 in if you remove the side foam. Seperate battery case handy for airline travel. 2 slots cut in to base foam for tablets, I use 10in samsungs and they fit firmly. Overall, could not be happier with mine.

1) is the foam anti-static?
2) what did you pay for the water cutting?

Nice case, I also went for landing mode with the HPRC 2730W case due to slightly smaller and 10lbs lighter than the pelican case plus I have two controllers, I have the option to keep the gimball or take it out which I normally I take it out on long trips. amazon sells the HPRC 2730W for inspire but with travel mode with two sets of foam, here's some of the pictures:

Where are the props stored ?

Im currently having a custom foam manufactured and Im still in the design stage with various layouts.  Just curious as to where you have the props ?
What type of foam did you use ?
