Hello users of the DJI Forum!

Lets start by telling that i really love flying with the DJI Mavic Mini. I've tried it alot of times from a friend and a few days ago i bought one myself. Becouse of my "semi-proffesional" experience with photo and video editing, i do know the basics of that. Uploaded is a picture of my first drone-shot! It is slightly edited but i still want some tips from you guys how i get the best angle, height, distance etc. for a perfect photo! Anyone that can help me out by giving me some good tips?

You did great I think.
No such thing as a 'perfect photo'.
Be creative and make what you like the most.

For this photo, the clouds look more interesting than the foreground, so maybe you could have shifted the horizon to the lower 2/3
Not sure if that would have been 'better' but it might have been.
Although you would have missed out on the nice leading line.

Seriously. First thing I thought as well.

DSLR

2 lenses

3 x HDDs

Polaroid camera (and film)

go pro

tripod

laptop

That is not packing light.

I'll roll with my DSLR, 2 lenses, a travel tripod, and my laptop. That's enough for me.

For me, that's a pretty satisfactory composition. Being able to pick out the ships on the horizon is a nice detail.  It may be an optical illusion, due to the darker clouds to the right of shot, but the horizon looks very slightly off horizontal - but that's being really picky. You've every reason to be pleased with the shot. Thanks for the share.

Thanks for your advice!  For the next time i'll try and do something with the horizon and the clouds a bit more in lightroom and camera angle.

Is there a place where you post your pictures? Would love to see that and get some inspiration!
