Hi,

I have seen that on DJI's website for the Mavic Air (1), they recommend these micro SD cards:

Supported SD Cards
microSD
Class 10 or UHS-1 rating required
Recommended microSD Cards
16G
Sandisk Extreme
Kingston 16GB SDHC-I SDCAC/16GB
32G
Sandisk Extreme V30
Sandisk Extreme V30 A1
Sandisk Extreme V30 Pro A1
64G
Sandisk Extreme V30 A1
Sandisk Extreme Pro V30 A1
128G
Sandisk Extreme V30 A1
Sandisk Extreme Plus V30 A1

I currently have this one, a 128gb SanDisk Extreme 128gb UHS-1 A2 U3: https://amzn.to/312empM
Since today is Amazon Prime day, I saw this one (Samsung EVO 256gb UHS-1 U3) on sale: https://amzn.to/2Isg2CP

DJI does not have a 256gb card listed currently under their "recommended" cards. Can I use this one and expect the same video quality I get from my current one? It is UHS-1, which is listed under the "supported" cards. My main concern is this large capacity.

Thanks!

The MA (1) is rated to take up to a 128gb micro sd card. Whilst the MA2 can take a 256.

Wouldn't recommend it for regular use -- you'll never come close to filling it up and the likelihood of losing lots of video if your AC is lost is increased.

Alright, thanks. My concern is not coming close to filling it up, more that there's a good deal and I can store all my current drone media on it as well (since my current 128gb card is about 100gb/128gb full...)

Hello there PranayG. Thank you for reaching out and for these information you have given. It would be best to use the suggested memory size and brand for the DJI Mavic Air 2 for compatibility and reliability purposes. Thank you.

Hi DJI Stephen,

Thank you for the response. However, I have a Mavic Air and not a Mavic Air 2, though I can infer the same advice would apply for both ;)

Just to reiterate, if you lose your drone you also lose all that footage if it's not backed up somewhere. Sometimes getting a good deal actually puts you more at risk. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
