So this is my very first attempt with a drone watsoever. Captured this round-about view from Bubikon in 80m height and was actually surprised that you can even see the lake of Zurich from there. It's a beautiful area out there...



As you can see I struggled to have the drone turn really smoothly - any tips on how you folks do this?

Very nice. Welcome to the forum. You can go into settings and reduce the rate of responsiveness of the sticks to any movement.  This might help:

You're most welcome. For inward-facing circular shots the POI setting will circle a single point for you without any stick input. That's really smooth, and you can set the speed of rotation too.  Keep experimenting and have fun!

Nice scenery. My tip for turning the drone smoothly: Don't do it at all. Panning looks (to my eye at least) unprofessional. Fly sideways or circle objects in the foreground. The background changes faster and you see a lot of background as if you were panning but it looks much better.

Lower the sensitivity and smoothness settings in the app for the gimbal pitch and drone yaw for each flight mode (presuming this is with the MA2)

Thank you for this input. It took a while to sink in, honestly, but I feel your words just happened to clarify some stuff with regards to image composition. I faced a similar challenge with photography for a while, too - I figured that many of my landscape shots are "kinda nice, but somehow boring", arbitrary almost. Your comment just made me think that maybe it's these shots that consist of only background that actually just lack some elements that make them interesting, setting things into perspective.

So thanks for giving me a valuable hint on the issue of what I call "So what?" pictures ;)
