I am having an issue with my left controller stick in that when centered, it goes between being at 0% (centered) to up to 5% left input without me touching the stick at all. How do I fix this? I have tried calibrating the controller but that does not seem to help.

Since you have calibrated the said remote controller and still the issue is persisting. I would recommended for you to contact our DJI Support team at ( https://www.dji.com/support ) for us to be able to check the said remote controller physically and the proper resolution will be provided.
