Anyone noticed any improvement?

Haven’t flown with it yet, too windy here

I also saw it on a Chinese site that some people will have noticed an improvement in the range, but it remains to be verified I will check tomorrow if it does not rain

That's quite an increase.  I just loaded it and will try it out.  Likely be a few days before I can give an update however as I will be camping in the middle of nowhere and have no cell coverage.

Yep. That not possible with an update, unless there was restrictions on the range before.

Is this claim only for the CE or non-FCC versions? The FCC versions already have a speced range of 4km.

Today I made for the first time over 7 km overall distance with my stock Mini.
In the EU! I don't know if it is caused by the latest DJI Fly update or I've got infuenced by the rumors and there was simply Good conditions. For the first time I made the promised 2km range with just a few lags.
I don't want to do long range flies. I am excited about the stability. I wonder how it flies in cities?

Assume you meant 2km not 7km?

I would think the city flying would still be very limited because of all the Wi-Fi interference!

Calm Down!
The whole flight route was 7km - not the max distance from the operator. The max distance was 2km. I have never before reached such a distance.

I've got this impression that the stability of the connection is increased. I wonder if it makes any difference in Urban Site. I live outside urbanised terrain and fly mostly the same routes thats why I've noticed the difference.

okay I also thought it seemed huge.

this is still honorable for a drone which is given for 2km in CE version it all makes 1.59 km more! not bad already

but what is most important is that the connection is the most stable, without necessarily trying to go further .

mm2 is getting ocusync 2.0 so I guess bumping up the mm1 a bit is less of a threat now

Nice range for a mini

Much further than 600-700 metres and you'd probably lose sight of it anyway. so any extra range would be superfluous.

I did a test, I didn't fly more than 300m, I took off next to a military police base: place that I always had problems with interference, which this time did not appear, and to relax, there was no interference from the police ...

I have managed to update the App to 1.1.10 on my two Iphones but I cannot get the latest update on the Ipad Mini. Have others had this issue

Fcc version here. Flies the same as always with the latest update. No extra range or boosted connection.

I just did a couple of flights with the new App and there does seem to be an improvement in my view

I could perhaps believe that the channel selection was improved, I always was wondering whether the auto selection made sense as it never correlated very well with the display of already busy channels... just my personal very subjective impression. That might (?) be be one of the aspects of the radio link that is actually influenced by the app and not the controller or drone firmware??? Most everything else that has an influence on the range (antenna pattern, antenna gain, amplifier gain settings, tx power, RF (de)modulation and error correction ,.. what else??)....would require firmware and/or even hardware changes to increase the range.  

flew mine yesterday with an update and actually had less range and it cut off my connection after 200 feet flying from my backyard where I always fly.

I tested it today and i can say it works. I flew my MM from that location before and i reach 2.1 KM, with that update it went 3KM+ without any problem. I could push it more but i was flying with the wind so i tun around and landed with 22% of battery. BTW i have CE version.
