Great capture AJ.   If I didnt know better I would say the bird was watching the drone.

We had a project in NL where the police trained some birds of prey to catch drones.
It was successful, but abandoned because of the costs.

This is why you ideally need to maintain VLOS with drones - imagine that bird heading straight at the drone 400' up and a mile away while the drone was over a congested area

Although I have to admit I do fly further sometimes.
But only over 'non congested' areas.
So when it falls down it is my problem.

Same here - always over none congested areas and miles from NFZs/airports - though I have taken the MA2 to 16,105' on one occasion to test the range. 4.91KM and no signal loss
