When I visited this year, Grime's Graves was closed - due to the pandemic. But what better way to look at it than from the sky anyway. When it's open you can decend into one of the pits about 9 m deep.

Grime's Graves are no graves at all but flint mines vom 2600 to 2300 B.C.

Awesome capture Depp.  

Hard to believe that these Neolithic flint pits were dug over 5,000 years ago and still excellently preserved.  today.  Would be cool to crawl down into one but as you stated, best viewed from above.

Yes, definitely a nice place to visit and not that far away from you. Hope it opens again next year.

Yeah, its about 100 miles from here so not too bad.
