Some footage taken while I was away in Georgia recently.

Beautiful scenes. Was that a capsized cruise ship?  Reminds me of the Costa Concordia disaster off the Island of Giglio, Italy, a few years back. We had sailed on it only weeks before. Thanks for the share.

It's the MV Golden Ray, has over 4000 new cars onboard, but capsized soon after departing Brunswick, apparently due to poor weight management. Thankfully everyone on board was rescued, they were very lucky it capsized in shallow waters.

Indeed. I don't expect the insurers were very happy.

Grew up in South Texas. Spent many, many years touring the world in the Navy.  After retiring I bought a 62' boat and live on it.  Part time I'm in Northeast Florida and spend the rest of the time in and around the Caribbean Islands and the Gulf of Mexico.
