Zoom on Photos would be a nice addition to the DJI Fly app.  Looks like it would be easier than the zoom on videos.

Just crop your images back home on the computer.

Digital zoom is cropping.
There's no "better resolution" because either you or the camera is chopping off part of the image and you are left with less pixels.
