Great review, thanks for that. I've already written, if I didn't have the 1, I would buy it now ... but so....

Gripe gripe gripe - why make a video going on about what you don't like?  It's simple - don't buy one and keep your thoughts to yourself.  The things people do to get views on their Youtube channel.   
Mind you, I'm a mug and clicked on it learning nothing new whatsoever.  -

It’s a fair assumption.  But this is slightly smaller and more portable.

I get that.
But since it has to compete with a DSLR (at least in my bag) it has to be rather good to get air time in my hands.
And I have noticed with my OM that I actually never used it as the DSLR made such great footage.
So that was why I was hoping for a bigger sensor....

Indeed they do. But...
I will probably still carry my DSLR because it just gives the best footage.
If only it was gimbal stabilized.....
(oh wait, we have RS2 for that)

I refuse to click on the video with a title that's a blatant views grab. There are plenty of reviews to watch so I'm skipping this one.

But after 3 'pocket' cameras I have given up hope.
I sold my last one to my sister who was tired of carrying around a DSLR
That was a very good Panasonic 'bridge' camera, but I still grabbed my trusty Nikon....

I’m at the point now where it’s dslr or iPhone and om3 but I’m getting bored if the size/weight of gimbals.  If I take the dslr I have a plan for an image. iPhone & gimbal for just in case times.

For me it is DSLR or nothing.
And I do video and stills with it.
Ok, unless there is water involved (olympus tough), or trains (Panasonic video camera with decent zoom etc.)
But for all the other stuff I have my DSLR and I decide on forehand which lenses to take with me. (if I don't feel like carrying around too much, I might just take 1 instead of 4 giving me a 'light' package)

Are you posting your stills on Instagram or anywhere else.  I’ve started posting my dslr stuff to

According to OsitaLV (the famous DJI leaks guy) they had a 1" prototype built, but cancelled it because the depth of field was too shallow. I guess they did not want to use a slower lens...Don't know if that is true but that guy has been spot on with his leaks last couple of years.

That is a shame (if it is true).
It would be the goto feature for me.
Shallow DOF is what I love in video!
But you will need a good way to focus.....

DJI can choose any depth of field with arrangement of lens as everyone already knows. Depth of field is not fixed limitation.

Mavic 2 Pro has F2.8~F11. Not too shallow depth of field there.

If the limitation was a too long of minimum focal distance, I can understand. Mavic 2 Pro was 1m minimum focal distance.

I think is because of maket size and profitability.

May be in 2022 with Pocket 3, we might have 1" sensor if Pocket 2 is sold well.

Well, there's probably also the problem that you probably will not be able to reuse OP1 filters and maybe higher battery drain. I'll happily trade being able to reuse most of the accessories over a maybe problematic 1" sensor.

I think they were worried about missed focuses causing a bigger issue. According to him they position pocket as an "amateur" device. Again, take it with a grain of salt.
