Why would you even bother.

In some countries (Greece for example, but probably not limited to) it is obligatory to have safety equipment when flying for commercial purposes and over people.

Why would you even bother.

Being prepared , in case it becomes a requirement for flying in some areas?
You never know, even the authorities are seeing this ads. They may wanna have it, one day.
(Could kick the Mini out of the "no registering needed" window ;-)
Aside, right now I could get it for less than 60 bucks!

Right now, most of my flying is over sea or jungle, so it wouldn't be much of a help, anyway!

And  my expectation is, that other countries will follow!
These systems are not that old, so they may find their way into the rules for flying drones.
At least in Cities or such

Anyone ever see the video of Evil Knievel launching his "bike"over the Snake River canyon? Parachute opened prematurely and dropped him onto the river bank. Parachutes are not always reliable.

Kvel was a tour de force of entertainment and hubris!  Glue to the  TV for the jump.

Off subject, but there are YouTube videos that show that the entire event was a phreak show behind the scene and on the ground at the canyon.  THE SEVENTIES!!!

Hello there S-e-ven. Thank you for reaching out and for posting this accessory for the DJI Mavic Air 2 that you have found. Just a reminder that DJI does not recommend you to uses or attach 3rd party accessories on your DJI Drones or modify your DJI product. These 3rd party accessories might affect the said DJI drone when in use. There is a possibility that these 3rd party accessories will be able work. However, since it's not tested by DJI we cannot guaranteed the stability of the said 3rd party accessory if it will work all the time with no issues when in use and might void the warranty of the said DJI product. Thank you and fly safe always.

Hi,

In Spain it is mandatory to have a parachute for flying in congested areas. Otherwise you are limited to fly with the Mini, below 20m.

Is there a chance that DJI may consider designing a parachute, as an accessory for the MaA2 and Pro series?

For the time being, the only way to be allowed to fly in those areas. Is by using thid party parachutes, that may not work properly or cause a malfunction.

Thanks,

Oriol

Like giving a fish a Bicycle.

That is a wrong example!
A fish cant ride a bike.

For a fish it would be a
"Disabled fish harness" or such:

EU now has one and the same rules everywhere.
This is not obligatory.
