I have been playing around with my Osmo Pocket lately and had a thought. I wonder if it would be possible to create an audio adapter that fit on the body the same way the phone adapters do? If that was possible it would allow an external mic to be used at the same time as charging, or using the WiFi adapter. Not only that, but if it was mounted across the full width of the body it would be a lot less likely to damage the camera it knocked against something or the cable accidentally pulled etc. Another benefit would be that the extra bulk it would add would only be in overall thickness and not in length.

Of course it would not work with the control wheel, the extension rod, or when connected directly to a phone, but it would give you the option to have an ext mic with WiFi or charging which is currently not possible.
