Hi Forum,

I read somewhere for Mavic Pro, that if one is not intended to take any photo or video in the flight, one can leave the gimbal guard installed during the flight.

But I have a P4P v2.0.  May I ask if this apply to P4P as well?  If I am not intend to take any picture or video, can I leave the lens cover and the gimbal guard in place during the flight ?

Thanks
Sam.

Hello there Drone AV. Thank you for reaching out regarding the inquiry with the DJI Phantom 4 Pro v2.0. Please be advised that we recommend for the gimbal cover to be removed before we power on the drone, and we cannot leave it mounted on the gimbal. A kind reminder that if there any objects that are blocking the movements of the gimbal of the drone, it may affect the performance of it and may damage it as well. Thank you for your understanding and support.

Not for any of the Phantom series. It would damage the gimbal motors. You can leave the lens cover on the Mavic Pro, but it tends to distort any video or pictures.
