Yeah just some electronics upgrades, which would make it a cheap upgrade for DJI to come up with.

I thought the bag was the same,  but come to think of it distant the original bag have a clear section for the drone to be shown off in?

As an optional extra to purchase separately - the Mini fly more has a small case.

I know the answer but have to ask - will you be buying if this really is it?

Hey Stephan, it is on the video so you should know something about it if people are leaking unboxing videos

It is strange that we did not see a 'teaser' from DJI.
You would suspect they announced it well before 'the date'.

The 4K video, OcuSync 2.0 and <250g weight are tempting for sure

Little grey box type thing - this is clearly the same shoulder bag as the MA2.

Not UK but $599 for the fly more combo - so I'd guess around £550

If they go ahead with retrospective classifications Im not sure that will be much of an issue unless you're doing commercial flights with insurance etc.

So about £100 more than a mini 1 on amazon at the moment,   hmm might not be the best Christmas special they hope for.

Will be interesting to see if that happens. I'll probably keep the MA2 if so but given that will be the decision of most current M2 owners I can see DJI only applying new classifications to the current production and new model releases with no retrospective classification.

DJI - "here's a sticker to put on the drone you bought a year ago so you don't need to buy one of the new ones we've just made"

Customer - "thanks very much, thats saved me thousands but sorry for you loss in business"

Customer then wakes up

Replacing WiFi with OcuSync 2, the RC and putting 4K recording capability into the new quad with upgraded batteries and propulsion system... For £100 with a MTAM weight reduction too! It's almost unbelievable.

Whether sales will be affected will depend on whether the Mini was bought in the first place because it was either 249g and didn't need to be registered (whilst that will change in two months the classification of the MM2 will mean you can legally fly it over people) or because it is relatively cheap. If price driven then yep, it may not have the same impact even though £550 for the combo with those features will be exceptional value. This transition reminds me of the Spark to Mavic Air 1

Even without the sticker it will become almost impossible for regular law enforcement to check the drone in the field,  they ultimately would need to confiscate it to check properly and they can't do that without a valid reason.

I think that the price point was a big factor to a lot of people.

TBH I think this whole EASA thing will, in reality, only affect people who fly their drones in or around congested areas. I can't imagine police officers patrolling through national and country parks en mass to catch a drone pilot flying a 570g drone 50m from someone. I have never, ever been approached by any police or local authority employees since I started flying. Never been asked to show my flyer or operator ID's to anyone. I've decided to ignore the whole thing and will continue to fly my MA2 next year exactly how I am now and no, I'm not sitting an irrelevant exam and paying £250 for the privilege. I will renewal my registration and flyer ID as and when and follow the CAA drone code but that is it.

I'm sure it was too mate but the increase isn't going to make it unaffordable and the specs will probably make it more attractive as a back up or travel drone to those with deeper pockets.

Even in flying fields in places like Richmond Park I've never been approached. I was asked to land on literally my very first ever flight with a DJI drone back in August 2016 with my P3P but that was due to my flying it over a mansion house whilst stood directly in front of it LOL Though she was only ground staff and not an official but I did as she asked. That's it - in nearly a thousand flights all over England and Wales.
