Yeah, it was a good result given the wind speeds. These use to look terrible on the MA2 when it was first released but the updates seem to have fixed it.

Nice, definitely couldn't tell it was windy. DJI getting better and better
with updates. I can't wait to see what they come up with for Activetrack.

I find active track 3.0 to be quite reliable but it's not quite there for following on a bike through the woods shall we say.

I'm more impressed with how stable it looks given this was 100' AGL flying at 1.5mph in a fresh breeze for nearly 5 minutes in course lock.

I think that bit is done - it's just getting it approved by the EU then the manufacturer products conforming to the guidelines and labelling. You can only imagine the amount of red tape involved.

Eventually yes.
Hope I don't have to take a drone break because of the new regulations that will start 31-12 this year.
Since I'm not planning on taking any (paid) course if I'm not sure what the future will bring for us.
They have made a concept of the Dutch implementation.
One of the major differences between that and the EASA rules is a mandatory 75m from all roads.
If that will happen, I'm not going to invest in a new drone.
That is a ridiculously limiting rule that will prevent me from making any reasonable flight in interesting areas.
There is usually a road within 200m or so in any place around where I live, so I can only lift off, make a shot and get down again.
That is not worth it for me (if it is going to happen of course)

It is not sure yet.
The used terminology is not clear so I have asked about it.

So it is starting to look a lot less appealing.

And furthermore, the mandatory examinations (for any drone with a camera or +250g ) and training will be handed over to market parties.
It is not sure what rates they will be charging.

Sounds like a headache. The A2 CofC here is £250 and valid for 5 years - not that I'm taking it.

I really don't understand the cancel culture thing,  it just seems ridiculous and in some cases stops people learning from historic mistakes

I agree that certain historical figures should not be celebrated or glorified but to erase them is to erase what they did and future generations will be unaware. We learn through our mistakes (most of the time). Further more, a lot of actions that were taken hundreds of years ago were perfectly acceptable at that time. What is politically correct today may be horrific in 300 years time - like how on Earth were pertol engine cars ever permitted. Why were there billionaires when millions couldn't have access to running water etc etc. How did the Elephant and lion become exstinct? What next? Are they going to destroy the coliseum in Rome?
