I was wondering if my friend and I (mavic mini and spark) could fly on the same wifi frequency without any issues. We both use the remote controller and are both on the 5.8 Ghz frequency. Thank you in advance for any info you provide!

Hello there gregory_wiggins. Thank you for reaching out and for the inquiry. This is possible, but however it is recommended not to fly more than 3 drones in close proximity. The reason to avoid flying 3 drones or more aircraft close to each other is that they will automatically choose to a different channel for each drone. This may cause a loss of signal moment and risk while flying. Please fly with caution to avoid any issue and keep LOS at all time. Thank you and fly safe always.

No you should not fly on the same frequency/channel. But 5Ghz wifi contains different channels within a range. Depending on the bandwidth used, 20/40/80 Mhz, make sure the channel(s) selected do not overlap.

Eg: Spark specs -  5.745-5.825 GHz
Eg: Mavic Mini specs - 5.725-5.850 GHz

The channels in the above range is (MM) CH 149 - 165?
