I have a Ronin-S and have been using it with a Sony a6600.

I would like to add a shoe-monted microphone (this: https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/VideoMicSt--rode-stereo-videomic-camera-mount-stereo-microphone?mrkgadid=1000000&mrkgcl=28&mrkgen=gpla&mrkgbflag=0&mrkgcat=generic&&acctid=21700000001645388&dskeywordid=92700057604448897&lid=92700057604448897&ds_s_kwgid=58700005285652254&ds_s_inventory_feed_id=97700000007215323&dsproductgroupid=315639514248&product_id=VideoMicSt&prodctry=US&prodlang=en&channel=online&storeid=&device=c&network=g&matchtype=&locationid=9032966&creative=156936231009&targetid=pla-315639514248&campaignid=694883968&gclid=Cj0KCQjwreT8BRDTARIsAJLI0KKCLWuqSPxdPQzuZznh4wvPg8Y2YHy62PcAumfDYX6H4_8LUvCmHwEaAs9_EALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds)

I've spent a long time trying to get it balanced, but am not hitting 'it' ...

My question is - am I wasting my time?

That is - does the heavy mic so completely change the weight distribution that I'm better off finding another way (i.e. attach the mic to the Ronin itself) OR should I keep futzing with it until I find the sweet spot?

Thanks - any and all help is much appreciated!
