Hurricane Epsilon made for some huge swells along the northwest coast of Sligo, Ireland. The largest wave ever recorded off the coast of Ireland came in at 95ft yesterday due to it.
I only got out for 20 minutes yesterday and the wind was strong making flying near impossible, if you look at the beginning of video you will see a big thunderstorm moving my way also, so only got out for about 15 minutes.
Two areas filmed in the video are Aughris and Enniscone both of which are in Sligo along the northwest coast of Ireland.
Mother nature can be beautiful at times or devastating at other times. I've was on a Navy aircraft carrier in the North Atlantic (we were just northwest of the Outer Hebrides, Scotland) when we experienced a 17 meter wave. The cruiser accompanying us looked like a submarine several times that day.
Hello there FuZZyPiLOT. Thank you for reaching out and for posting this amazing video you have filmed. The waves looks amazing from the air. Great work and keep on flying.
