An aquaintance in our village is building a 'Green' house. All modern timber construction from sustainable materials.
Geo-thermal heating, and when complete, solar panels. It should be carbon-neutral when finished.
This photo was takn last year at the first floor stage. The house is now complete and lived in, so one day I hope to
go back and get an update.

Haha. Far from it. The guy building it is the village mason/roofer.  His existing house is on the next plot, behind the viewpoint. He'd probably gone back home for dinner   The build is complete now and he's living in it.

That would explain the lack of the supplies on site as well then.

Yeah his atelier is at the other end of the village - about 300 metres away.

My pleasure. That house is now finished and occupied, but I've not been able to visit due to Covid quarantine during the early part of the year, and now we're over in the UK of course.

Thank you. It may be next year before I can return to France. The house is already finished and occupied. I don't think I have any more recent footage but I will check

From 2025 in the UK, no new-build house  will be allowed to have fossil-fuel heating. I was told by the service engineer who came recently.
