As they say, do not judge a book by its cover. Pocket 2 indeed seems similar with its predecessor at first look BUT if you get to experience this gimbal you will notice tons of improvement.
1. Larger sensor at 1.17" compared with Pocket 1 at 1/2.3"
2. improved Autofocus
3. 64 MPfrom 12MP
4. better night shots
5. HDR videos
6. Audio made a huge leap of improvement
7. Livestream capabilities

Good reasons to upgrade? I think so.
