Does anyone have any idea what the difference between the two are? All I know is that the Mini 2 will have a 4k camera and that's it. What others features and uprades do you think it will have? And will it be worth getting if you already own a Mini 1?

From all the videos I've seen:

4k @30/25/24fps
2.7k @30/25/24fps
1080p @60/30 (I forget the others)
MA 2 Wind Rating
Occusnc 2.0
Sport speed of 35mph up 5 from the mm1
Lipo instead of Lion (Soft pack vs Cell)
31 "Advertised Flight Time Minutes" based on mm1 24/25 so 26/27 real world minutes.
HDR
AEB
Burst
Panorama
Mavic Air 2 Controller with a Larger Battery/weight
Raw *(MAYBE: Seen on a Website Leak, might not be true)*
Follow ME *(Seen on different Website Leak, might not be true)*

I think that covers most of what's been covered in all the *(Leaked)* videos.

To avoid controversy, I promised not to talk about what I saw, as I would need proofs, photos, these things, which I cannot do for the friendship of the person who introduced me personally to the test model, I can only say that physically it is superior to the version previous year and will be a Christmas sales success. I hope that sales of the first version will not be interrupted, that they coexist, but from what we know of DJI, there should be some "stock clearing", perhaps on Black Friday.

I won't buy it until it has the EASA C0 class marking. Please note that the Mini 1 would be C1 class if it is manufactured after January 1st 2021 losing its 249gr beneficts. I believe that's the reason why DJI come out the Mini 2 so soon, less than a year instead of the usual 2 years interval between models.

A Mini 2 bought before the C0 class marking and all existing Mini 1 will be considered legacy drones during a transition period that ends in December 31st 2022. During this period both drones can fly in subcategories A1 and A3 and after only in A3.

I believe Netherlands have already signed up to EASA rules, they may adopt some local rules, but my understanding is that all European nations will adopt EASA rules.

You could be right, but this is not the first time dji have brought new update drone on the market. P4  saw the P4pro 6 months after its release, similar with Osmo Osmo pro..
But EASA may be main reason .

I doubt they will continue to produce the Mavic Mini.  The Mini 2 is a product line upgrade and it does not make sense given the price difference to run 2 productions.

Yes they have, but the proposed implementation is not looking well for 'us'.
A lot of new limitations that I first need to see in practice.

I bet enough people are already waiting to pick it up from there local retailer, so filter by newest to weed out the tech tuber spam and you'll find normal people eager to share but beware, I've already seen many fake 4k mini 2 videos that are clearly the original mini.

I wonder if the propellers for the Mini2 are better than the from the original Mini. And if the are compatible?
2'nd though. Is the New proppeler holder better for securing the original Mini's propeller too?

Thanks for the response! For flight time, what's the difference? I checked the Mini 1 and the flight time is 30 minutes. 1 minute between the MM1 and 2? I like the 4k upgrade, though.

They seemed to have learned their lesson from the first mini, no crossing the blades this go around with the new holder. It keeps the props separate but elongated with the fuselage.

agree here if they miss C0 there is no point to buy a future (light) paperweight ;)
and why did they kill mobility of mini with this bulky/heavy remote :/

The new controller seems to be the same as the Mavic Air 2, which was probably needed to add occusync 2. It is large/ heavier and puts the phone at the top of the controller instead of the bottom. USB "C" connections all around, that is big as on the Controller some have plugged the cables in wrong an damaged the connector.

Unlike the MA2 controller (Rumored) it has a second battery for a total of 5200mah(?) for longer flights. So it's going to weigh a little more then the MA2.

The benefit of the larger controller battery is that it can charge your mobile device while you are flying.

Hello there Dorito Fellow. Thank you for reaching out and for posting these information here at DJI Forum. In addition to this thread I will post a link where in you can compare both the DJI Mavic Mini to the DJI Mini 2 and to other DJI consumer drones as well ( https://www.dji.com/products/com ... ndsite&from=nav ).
