I am very new to app development and I want to develop an app for Matrice 300 rtk with Mobile SDK. Is it possible to use the Mobile SDK gimbal API for controlling the gimbal of Zemuse H20 or do I have to use Payload SDK instead? If I have to use the Payload SDK then how do I communicate the Mobile SDK with Payload SDK? Is there a sample code I can find for this?

No. You don't need to use payload SDK. Payload SDK is used to develop a third-party payload. I see you use H20. You can control it through mobile SDK.
