Here's the first (?) demo of the kind of ambient stereo sound the P2 can capture - and I'm very impressed. I'm a retired classical music recording engineer and very conscious of stereo soundfields, and am going to be delighted to have a camera which has such flexible sound options and can capture ambience like this one evidently can. But I'm too deaf now to be able to really evaluate noise and high frequency response so I'll defer to others' views on that in due course.
The four mics are almost certainly omni nor cardioid, and getting this kind of stereo image from them when they are so close in the body is quite and achievement. They may use 'mid side' (MS) processing to achieve it.
Just a pity the video doesn't include something like cars going past across the camera to evaluate how well such sounds are localised.
It's a pity about the wind noise because the frequency response and stereo positioning seems really good although a little off center to the right on my system. Phase problems also seem minimal and much better than the original pocket.
Hello there. Thank you for reaching out and for sharing this interesting video for the DJI Pocket 2 here at DJI Forum. Again thank you for supporting DJI and please stay safe always.
Here's another one - listen (ideally with headphones) at around 2'10" where the videographer walks past a stall with music playing - positively three dimensional on headphones, as it almost sounds like it's behind you after he's gone past. Excellent. Elsewhere in the video the audio switched to the Pocket 1 (mono of course) and the difference is very evident.

Is it me or does the original OP footage look a little crisper?
I'm confused.
The section using the original Osmo Pocket audio sounds like they have kept the noise reduction on and using a poorly shielded external mic on the second video.
I have never suffered hum from my Osmo Pocket using the internal mics.

Yesterday I watched some old footage of mine taken with the iPhone and the Osmo Mobile
I realized I miss that stabilized footage, even though I did not use it too much.
So I'm curious how other footage from P2 will look!

Stabilisation is equally important to image quality.
BTW - have your points from Oct been redeemed yet?

Indeed it is.
I only never took the OP with me because I was already carrying a DSLR.
Maybe now that it is so small, it can fit in one of the lens sections of my bag.
I will have to do some measurements.
