For UK drone pilots - as we know the EASA new drone regs are due to come into effect on 31/12/20

For absolute simplicity - what is the distinct difference between the current UK CAA drone code and flying under the A3 subcategory of the open category in line with the new, pending regs?

What does it mean by no people not involved in flight area? So if we fly 500m away there must be nobody within a half KM radius of our position?!

They can pass through but not stop in the flight area, and the shape of the zone has changed from a bubble to a cylinder so there is no overflight like there is now.

I suspect the new rules will not be understood by most people and there will be less rule following than there is now.
