To get the maximum battery life is it better to keep it in the charger at all times or charge it just before flight? All answers will be greatly appreciated. Just bought my FIRST multirotor, the Phantom 2 Vision + and can't wait to get it and enjoy this hobby.

Charge shortly before the flight and avoid storage at full charge over extended periods of time. Note that newer batteries and batteries that are upgraded to the latest firmware will auto discharge to a "safer" level after 10 days if fully charged and not used in that time period.  Also avoid storing the battery at very low charge level especially if it is for longer periods of time.
