Point 2 is exactly what I said... If it's a toy it will not need to be registered even if equipped with a camera. The 'toy' definition in directive 2009/48/EC states that the toy drone can not be flown >400' from the device being used to operate it and thus designed for children.

Its a feature I really wanted when I got the M2P but in practice Ive found no use for it except to play/ learn how it works.

Yes it would.  But so far Ive not really found a need for it.

not a big deal may be but dji has changed the product naming convention.
no more "mavic" or "osmo" but dji ( MINI2, AIR2,  POCKET2 etc.)  all the new coming models will follow this naming code.

From what I can tell a CE Marked Mini would exceed the 250g "MTOM" for flying in A1. It's probably likely it will need an A2 CoC to fly

The Mini and the Mini 2 will be classed as Legacy Drones and allowed an unlimited life in the A1 Subcategory based on their Flying Weight and not MTOM. Either way it's unlikely we will see CE marked drones until manafacturers start making new drones based on the new rules and not until late 2021 mid 2022 at a uess.

Maybe year when DJI release the Mini 3 and ignore all feedback like they have done with the MM users ;) however for Europe it would be better to keep the MM3 non CE Marked too.

Is the below still valid? So you have to register the drone but not obliged to take any additional training as operator?

Id rather see vertical pano that active track,  I have that on the M2P and it was really important to me when I chose it but it has turned out to have very little use to me.
