Hi,

I shot some footage with my MA2 in 4K 60 and now i want to edit it with Resolve.
I use an older Windows PC. WIN10 64Bit i5-4460 GTX750 8GB RAM

But before that, i want to watch all shots so i can choose which to edit.
But no player at all is playing the videos.
I tried VLC, 5KPlayer, etc. everytime its just stopping after a few frames.

on my mobile the shots are absolutly fluent.

Any help?

Thanks!

Sounds like you shot them in H265 and your computer is not powerful enough to play them,  only the very latest hardware can play that back smoothly.  You could convert them to H264 with a free tool called Handbrake.

Yeah, 4K-60p can only be recorded in H.265 on the MA2 - same as 1080p-240p - recording in 2.7K@60p uses H.264.

Thank you for the advices!

I used handbrake to convert the footage into the youtube/vimeo 4k 60. Still looks good and i finally can play it without any issues on my PC.

On the MA2 is the option to choose between H.265 and H.264. But @captain says in 4k 60 you don't have the possibility to choose?

What are you shooting at?

I'm in D-Cine, 4k 60, but I think 2,7K is also good. I just want the possibility to zoom in in post. And I'm shooting in MP4. Any recommendations?

Thanks for your Help!

this may be late, but Raspberry pi 4 is capable of outputting 4k60 to one display. They are not very expensive compared to getting a newer windows or mac

If you are going to edit the footage be careful converting it to h264. That's a permanent quality loss prior to editing then depending on what you export from resolve another quality loss.

I also checked the GTX750 and it appears to support hardware decoding of h265
1. Make sure you have the latest nvidia drivers
2. Try MPC-HC
