If you take the time to learn it, you'll LOVE it! When you start, keep it close to you. Learn how it all works. The biggest issues I hear about with drones are fly aways (wind) and crashes (due to low battery, birds, obstacles, radio issues). If you do not have UAV Forecast, get it. This has been perhaps the tool I use the most. It tells you the wind at different elevations, etc. I set my max wind to 19mph and height, I change all the time. You should never fly above 400' AGL (above ground level). While learning, you should never go above 50'. Another tool I use alot is B4UFly - open it, read it, understand it. The red zones, you absolutely cannot fly in - and the drone actually won't go there. B4UFly tells you where you are and about the area around you. It shows you where you can fly and where you cannot and where you need authorization.
