Looking at buying the Mini 2 but wondering if I should put it off a month or so for Black Friday or even Christmas sales..  I’m not sure if DJI would normally put an item for sale so quickly after launch, does anyone think this is possible or will it stay at the same price.

Yes, it took months before the MM1 had any discounts that I am aware of. Unless sales are not going well I don't think there will be any discounts until some time next year based on previous history.

Nope, not a sale item. Never a new released drone.

Maybe the MM1 will go on sale - it's been out for a year. I agree, the M2 will not be on sale.

... ditto the above.  DJI probably "fixes" the price on the product to prevent a big player like Best Buy from squeezing out other vender and DJI's own store.

I was fortunate enough to apply a coupon from Best Buy, but I think it was target to me as a returning customer.  Perhaps a sale on the Mini???

DJI uses a standardized pricing system.  This means the price should be the same anywhere unless the retailer itself has a rewards system or something to that effect that would apply across the spectrum of the purchase.  Therefore it is unlikely that there will be any sales on Black Friday.  But the original Mavic Mini inventory may be discounted.

I highly doubt it will go on sale anytime soon judging from past launches

Prices here are a little bit slowing down since Black Friday.
The price for the M2 is about 435€ and the M2 Combo can be acquired by 555€. Originally were 460€ and 608€ for the same versions.
Those are the prices at DJI authorized dealers.
