Looking at the DJI store - the Mini 2 props designed for the Japanese model are compatible with the Mavic Mini and vice versa but not Mini 2 models designed for the international market. It also states that the Mini 2 props are speically made for the Mini 2 and only list the Mini 2 as compatible.
That would also interest me, because the propeller sound sounds better. Maybe someone who owns both Minis can try out whether the Mini 2 propellers fit the Mini 1 and whether the flight behavior remains the same.
AJ may have hit on the reason - perhaps moving to the Mini 2 props would put an original over the 250g limit and into the next weight catagory. I'm not sure if that limit is significant in the Japanese market??
But if the propellers are heavier in M2 model, then it probably will force the engines more in MM, don't you think?
Need to test in strong winds, but I think it will reach on that error related to engines when MM has propellers not in shape.
If the propellers were made of steel and each weighed 20 grams more , there would be problems, but with 0.1 (zero point one !) grams certainly not. It's less than when a bird poops on it. ;-)
Hello there Gregor Queck. Thank you for reaching out and for the inquiry. Kindly please see A J's post om post #2. Thank you for your reply.
I'm interested in the technical reasons this would not work or what you changed that hinders compatibility.
Hi, can't you buy a set of blades in Germany. Then test it and let us know, I live at the bottom end of Africa and will only be getting the M2 late November early December
I’ve tried to fit some master airscrew stealth props to my MM which I ordered and realized they are for a MM2 the screws are a different thread or pitch so they won’t screw into the motor
