Gripper is bad, EP core is a rip off.

Hi,

I was wondering if more people are having issues with the gripper.
The 2 servo motors are barely strong enough to raise the gripper, let alone if something light as an empty bottle is in it.

Every bump the RM hits, while moving, the arm lowers.

Besides this, I feel that the EP core is barely getting any support from DJI. Where the S1 has all kind of pre programmed modules, there are no such things for the EP Core.
To be honest, it feels like I have payed much more, to get less...

I do hope something will be done about this.

The issue is not the gripper, it is the strength of the arm.
I think 100gr is about the max it can lift.

The gripper itself is strong, I think it is too heavy for the arm.

Ah Okay,

I'll try and let you know about the weight.
I've driven the robot down / bumb from about 10cm height without the arm changing position.

I've had mine behave strangely when not calibrated correctly, just for info.

try load mode of robotic arm.

activated it again. Somehow it deactivates everytime I disconnect the bot.

It can then lift about 24 AA batteries. Which is okay.

I do notice that the arm will hop up and down a bit then.
