Thats a long way for a such a small drone.

But why not half-way a message RTH ?  at the end a RTH prompt, with that batt level never to reach home...so what went wrong?

You would think wouldn't you JJB.,

If you pay attention to the Battery bar it shows and estimation of how much "safe" battery you have in green and once you hit Orange from everyone's videos is the turn around moment, RTH should prompt at that point when it's estimated that it's beyond the "Safe" point.

I was saying "It should" and agreeing with you that DJI should account for these things if they already have a way of "Estimating" the safe flying time. When the Orange warning takes over that an RTH prompt should come up warning the user you are in" Low Battery State" and to return home manually or risk not having enough battery to make the trip back.
