Sadly on my first flight today (ex Spark and Mini owner) battery died after 14 mins and the drone is now MIA. I realise advertised life isn’t usually accurate in the wild but 31 mins to 14 real world in 12o temp and minimal wind is poor.

To add insult to injury, DJI support can’t send out a replacement drone (I’ve offered to pay for the unit as ultimately it was my fault I pushed the battery envelope).

Battery time definitely is varies depending on mode and wind.  I have had a few close calls myself pushing the battery.

I think it was a dud, 4 x flights so far (UK), flight time 22 mins @20% battery (same as I got with the Mini 1)

Brand new batteries need to be cycled a few times.  This is needed to get them to their full potential.

Taking a brand new flying aircraft and expecting full flight potential is not realistic.

Sorry to hear about your loss., I did a 21 min flight today as I was nearing the end the battery warning came up. But you should still be able to fly for some time even after the warning!

I had the same experience as above with a 21 minute flight that landed with 20% left on the first charge.

Why do you say you pushed the battery envelope? 14 minutes on a fully charged battery is not pushing it.

I don’t have one. I’m being passed from pillar to post across different teams you have and being told you can’t just replace the drone itself. I’ve escalated to a complaint and now expect the lost drone to be replaced free of charge. It’s just not good enough for a new product release...

Not trying to be snarky, but the battery was freshly and fully charged before the "doomed" flight?

No snark sensed Yup, 100% charged but only for one cycle.

show us logs from phone/remote to see what happen - community here will gladly help to investigate if it was machine fault

Moreover, you have experience with the Mavic Mini, and in General, how it could fall I do not understand.

Sounds like defective battery (I saw already different post where guy could not even charge brand new battery). Definitely good practice is to check each battery quality/state in a low flight (or when drone is one hunging position) before any further flights.

Upload your logs. Maybe we can help you narrow the search area down.
