good review. am enjoying my third day with Mini 2. Had some issues with Quickshots caused by multiple SD cards not seeming to play well with the aircraft. Got the first card on this list for $7

and have had good connections ever since.

However, ran into another Quickshot issue where the shot would start and the stop by itself after 5 seconds (what?). It happened with every QS.  As it turned out, even though drone preflighted itself as OK to fly, the IMU was NOT calibrated. I discovered this by watching it hover at home and even just a plain hover was obviously not right. Although there was plenty of light, full gps and a good compass, the darn thing wandered, slowly but continuously. This was new. And then, while hovering, if I yawed the aircraft in either direction, it would pulse and visibly shake. I figured that this could be related to the Quickshots stopping.

With plenty of light, good compass and gps, the only thing I could think of was product failure. But then I thought to check the IMU. I started the IMU calibration and strangely, It jumped to step 2 of the 5 step calibration process, as if it had already started it before but had not completed all five steps. I quickly completed the remaining steps 2-4 of the IMU calibration and immediately took off again with rock steady hover, no pulsing in yaw and all Quickshots are now executing perfectly. These are marvels of engineering and super reliable, so when something goes wrong it is a surprise. Another example is geofencing. DJI offers no help in these situations. BenBethel - this is not true! There is a different place to set Quickshot video settings like resolution. There are a few posts here and YouTube videos on how to do it. It is confusing/odd but you can indeed record Quickshots in 4K.

600M distance (especially in the city) is well beyond the line of sight required by the FAA for UAS isn't it? And how do you fly in a city without flying over people or vehicles? Just because the device has the ability to go that far does not make it legal. My car can top out at 150MPH but I can't drive it that fast on any road in the US. Not knowing the laws is not an excuse to break them.

I understand but if they sell you a product that says it meets the specifications, should it be or not?  so the rago is not real?  on the beach he only reached 800 meters away and lost the signal and disconnected.

Hi everyone,

I own a DJI Mini 2 for about 3 weeks now and I must say I love learning to fly with it but I actually hate trying to download or edit my footage afterwards.

Quicktransfer often only works after trying multiple times and today I tried the DJI Editor for the first time as I had 4 videos of over 1-2 minutes in the DJI Fly app.  

The DJI tutorial makes it seem very easy to use but as soon as I choose 'create', select one of the suggestions and click on apply, trouble happens ... I select my video's - all four of them - and as soon as I click on add,I get an error message saying 'transcoding failed' ... all the freaking time. The end of editing before it even started.  Very frustrating because why even bother recording a flight when you can't use it afterwards ?

What am I doing wrong ?

Thanks for the intro video. Just unpacked my Dji 2, i will be 60 soon, this technology is profound for someone like me who grew up with walkie talkies as state of the art tech..
I had my son aet the drone up and made its first flight in the cover of darkness Dec 11.2020
I was so impressed with the 15 min flight my son helped me with.
Please keep your updates coming! I will be watching for your learnings.

It doesn't like cold temps...we live above the 60th parrallel.
