Thanks for the intro video. Just unpacked my Dji 2, i will be 60 soon, this technology is profound for someone like me who grew up with walkie talkies as state of the art tech..
I had my son aet the drone up and made its first flight in the cover of darkness Dec 11.2020

Nicely done!  Looked a little close there with that baseball light (1:15)...not sure if you planned that one..but looked great!

Quick note for everyone - Quickshots are not recorded in 4K... please message DJI and request this... thanks!

I think you need to first select a quickshot and then go to settings where you can up the resolution to 2.7 or 4k

Good footage, however, a mere 12 mph wind took mine straight to the ground from about 30 feet hover and snapped the Gimbel. The Gimbel is constructed of thin, cheap plastic as far as I can tell. I got mine for Christmas yesterday and already it's going in for repairs.

Such an upgrade over the Mini! I love the Mini and unfortunately it will be a while until I can get the Mini 2. But, whenever I can, I will. This thing looks sick. I'm especially excited for the increased connectivity in urban areas.

I find this VERY difficult to believe. 12 mph is nothing and until you post the flight logs we cannot discount user error in this situation you describe.

Why does some one always have to try and be clever and quote the rules....... Far too depressing no one wants to here this from you you are not the Drone Police

Honestly, we all have a responsibility to look after each other. The rules are there for a really good reason. If you delve into how the rules were arrived at it becomes frightening obvious how imperative we follow them to the best of our ability. Flying drones is in its infancy and it only take one major incident to take it away from us all. Just a little understanding of the real dangers would cause you to police yourself rather that seeing other imposing their rules on you. Just fly safe and pass the exams and become an example to follow through good leadership.

600M distance (especially in the city) is well beyond the line of sight required by the FAA for UAS isn't it? And how do you fly in a city without flying over people or vehicles? Just because the device has the ability to go that far does not make it legal. My car can top out at 150MPH but I can't drive it that fast on any road in the US. Not knowing the laws is not an excuse to break them.

You are lucky, you only have these issues and not mention these:

- too much image noise even at iso 100 and sunny day
- 4k/30p has terrible compression artifacts when there are lot of details (forest, water, etc)
- 360 pano jpg's aren't saved in full resolution (i don't want to work with raws)
- 2.7k/60p mode has strange distorsion correction algorithm (horizon waves)
- beeping is too loud while rth alarm

I love my Mini2, but there are definetly some drawbacks...
