Hello All!

Thanks for reading this... So I just bought the DJI Mini 2 after having the MA2. is it possible to have the MA2 remote controller or Mini 2 remote controller linked to both Drones? Not to use both drones simultaneously but don't want to carry two remotes if I don't have to.

Thank you in advance!

As long as the RC is on the latest firmware (.1101) and your device is on the latest Fly app version 1.2.0 then you can use either remote with either drone but each drone will need to be linked before flight with that drone.

so the remote can only be linked to one drone at a time.... guess it depends if I want to spend the time to bother with the linking process or not. Would you take the two RC or take only ONE and go through the re-linking process if it were you?

Just the one RC with two drones and three batteries with each drone. The linking process takes less then a minute.

You're welcome. Take both remotes if you have a lot of batteries with each drone then the advantage is you won't need to recharge the remote in the field. You can also use the remote to charge your phone during flight so that won't run out of juice either. It is a great feature to make the RC's interchangeable with both drones (if you own both of course). But if you only have a few batteries with each drone one full charge on one remote will easily cover six full battery flights whilst charging your phone in flight too.

Excellent recommendation which I didn't think of. Appreciate the feedback. I'll keep the two remotes in my bag and do that; makes perfect sense.

again, thank you all!

Hello there. Thank you for reaching out and for the inquiry. Yes the remote controllers of the DJI Mini 2 and the DJI Mavic Air 2 are interchangeable. Update both the remote controller and the aircraft, and you can use normally after successfully linking the devices. For additional reference I will post a link where in you can see the overview, specifications and frequently asked questions for the DJI MIni 2 ( https://www.dji.com/mini-2?site=brandsite&from=nav ). Thank you.
