Hi all,

I'm asking me a question for quite a time now. Are the gimbals of the controller hall effect gimbals?
I did not find anithing about it in the product description. And it would be interisting for me to know, because of the lifetime of the gimbals.

Regards

No, there are several teardown videos online where you can clearly see the pots on the edges of gimbals. But I don't think you should be worried about durability, pots got a bad reputation because some manufacturers use absolute junk in their gimbals. DJI likely uses some high grade ones like the ALPS RDC80 series used by Futaba.

Despite its toy-like appearance, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the gimbals on the DJI FPV controller. I like them better than the ones on my Taranis.

If you want hall sensor. just repleace M9 gimbal. But I think.. DJI original gimbal is good more than M9.

How is the stick feel with the M9 compared to stock ones? I have M7 ones on the Taranis Q X7, and it feels really nice. I would like to upgrade if its possible. Its the only thing I miss from standard fpv radio. Thanks for sharing information.

i am a bit concerned about the longevity of the remote  controller 2 since i plan to use it extensively with O3 bnf quads as well as my dji fpv quad. makes for a simpler ecosystem.

No, this was about the old black square "v1" FPV Controller. RC2 does have hall effect gimbals.

Will M9 work with new Remote 2? I've tried to connect old DJI gimbal to Remote 2 (potato/avata controller) and it won't work for some reason.
