A lot of them seem to be either Android &/or issues with the Mini - iOS on the MA2 was perfect today on all of the latest updates.

For me using an Android phone everything works fine as well with the latest updates on all three devices.

Updating as I type. Maybe I will try it out during Tropical Storm Eta today ;-)

I updated to thew firmware and refreshed the controler via pc then uninstalled 1.20 app on Android.  I reinstalled the app and connected drone.  before I flew I re linked controller and rebooted both rc and drone.  I then calibrated the drone as well as imu.  I rebooted both drone and rc.  I took off and same ... drone rth after 30 ft.  using samsung note 10 plus

Hello, I have a Mavic Air 2 and after updating the application to version 1.2.0 or PHOTO mode, it keeps locking up constantly and with a lot of delay on my Android screen? Do you also notice this problem?

Definite stutter when in HD transmission and in photo mode its fine in video. Tried all 3 modes from Cinesmooth thru sport its the same. Running Android with Fly v 1.2.0 was fine prior to latest changes.

Thanks for sharing AJ.  Good tip on updating batteries also.  

New features requested by the community would have been nice, but I will never complain about bug fixes.

tried contacting them and they told me to take it back to best buy and in 2 days some one will contact me from tech support

I encountered something odd during the update.

The first of my three Fly More Combo batteries was (I think) updated as part of the Mavic Air 2 firmware update. Following that, I powered up the drone using the second battery, and I was offered the battery firmware update for it. I then repeated this with the third battery, and despite several power cycles and patiently sitting at the screen showing the image of the Mavic Air 2, I never got the battery firmware update prompt. I also clicked on "Go Fly" and then opened the About menu and checked for firmware there, but no dice -- that third battery claims to be up-to-date.
Edit: I just tried again and the third battery finally updated.

every firmware update, should update each battery also one by one.

I know. That’s what I tried to do. One of them hasn’t prompted me to update though. I’ve had this problem before., I think the servers may be overloaded and not responding when DJI Fly checks for updates for the components it detects.

usually first battery that used for upgrade firmware, already upgraded also.

Thats odd - no way that third battery was up to date before the drone. You can put that battery back in the drone and refresh the FW using Assistant 2 for Mavic to be sure.

That’s a shame - my flights were flawless

I'll probably remove the app completely then reinstall & check it again. Tried changing frequencies but no change on either or using both.  Some posts suggest it only happens in 4:3 16:9 is ok so I'll be checking that out also. Glad you haven't had the issue yourself.

Cheers AJ after a complete removal of the app & reinstall the stutter on gimbal tilt is gone, checked both modes & its now good to go. Need to do a flight test but hopefully all is well given your own experience.

The only glitch i had after updating the third battery was a message in the flyapp saying battery not installed correctly. But after reinstalling the battery and booting up controller, phone and ma2 everything was like normal, even after 2 short test flights at home (up to 150m away and 50m high).
Maybe it was just only a hickup of the flyapp, because i did the update of MA2+1 battery and the other 2, in a row, without rebooting the flyapp (phone) and controller in between.
So nothing to worry about !

I had this message a few days ago, prior to fw. updates but I just reinstalled battery and it disappeared.
BTW I already had 1.2 app for last flights but I updated remote, MA2 and 4 batteries today in a row as well. Wasn't able to test fly today...

I only just bought one and flew mine for the first time yesterday without any issues. I'm going to have to adjust all the gimbal settings though they need some tweaking. When I looked online to try to find some help the YouTube videos weren't much help. Does anyone have any ideal gimbal settings they use for all 3 speeds please? Thanks for your help!

Yes I have. And I power-cycled the drone several times and allowed it to reconnect to the controller and DJI Fly.
Edit: I just tried again and the third battery finally updated.

I don't think that there are ideal settings available. By default they are set to something in the middle, so that beginners and even pros have a preset to start with. You need to try out and adjust them your self, because they are depending on your flight skills, style of flying and your preferences to take videos or stills.
I only adjusted in normal mode the speed of the gimbal up and down and reduced the rotation speed  of the MA2 plus the fade in and  out at the beginning and end of  each movement to have a more smooth footage. It took me half a battery flight time to get it perfect for my preferences.
For tripod and sports mode i keept the default settings.

After the update I tested to more thn 5 kilometers away and no problem at all
