Got my Mini 2 today and activated, but no icon? what's up with that DJI?

Haven’t flown yet.  Just charged battery enough to activate, settings, update firmware and calibrate.  From what I’ve heard it’s not as flimsy as mavic mini.

I know the arms on the Mini 2 are thicker than the ones on the Mini because my aftermarket prop guards will not fit.

And the props are definately stiffer.

Good to know.  Can’t wait to fly it this weekend.  

Maybe there is no new icons because it is using the Mini 1 icon if you already owned the mini 1

Usually DJI takes their time to add icons for new products.
It has probably not been entered in the 'forum product icon table' yet.

Lucas, yes the mini 2 is stiffer frame, stiffer props, lighter weight because of battery, has front LED light, 4K, etc. But a feature that most have overlooked is they added Galileo for satellite's, so in UAV Forecast you can tap satellite's locked tap add Galileo. Now we should not have any time where there are not enough satellite's, unless your in some cavern, etc. It would work without the App but this confirms we have more satellite's available for lock!

I'd say the original mavic air was a better design and a lot better drone than the Mini 2 minus the occusync.  Mavic air had front and rear sensors and it had obstacle avoidance as well.  If it had occusync it would have been real good.

Hey Lucas775, just get an update from the proper team, the icon has been configured. After the flight reocrd of the Mini 2 is syncing to the cloud, the icon will show up.

No, the owner has that privilege. I am the owner of my boat and have named it Mariah. Wife is the "Captain" however ;-)

Bummer for you. We just came out from under a tropical storm (ETA). I am on the west coast of Florida. No flying for a week before and at least two days after.

BTW, my flight mentioned was in the living room ;-)

Stay safe as we are all dealing with the same thing plus more.  I might have to do a couple of living room flights myself anxious to see the new icon for the Mini 2.

I was going to do a wind test this morning and ended replacing props on the MM.....ooops, good thing M2 didn’t take flight.
